Friday Night with Jonathan Ross (known as The Jonathan Ross Show in markets where it does not air on a Friday night) is a comical chat show presented by Jonathan Ross. It is on the British terrestrial TV channel BBC One and is broadcast at 10.35pm on Friday nights. It was first shown on 2 November 2001 and is in it’s seventeenth series. The program features Jonathan Ross‘ take on current topics of conversation, guest interviews (usually 3 per show) and live music from both a guest music group and the house band.
On the October 23 episode, Jonathan Ross welcomes comedic actor Vince Vaughn as he talks about his latest role in the just released movie Couples Retreat.
Vince also discusses how being tall and over 6’5 in Hollywood has its setbacks:
“You start to get a complex, never put on your shoes.”
Strictly Come Dancing, the UK version of Dancing with the Stars, judge Alesha Dixon makes her first television interview appearance since joining the show:
“I was worried the judges wouldn’t be warm towards me” and how she refuses to let the media discourage her, “I thought, I’m not going to let the media ruin my experience.”
Also joining is comedian Jack Dee with a musical performance by soulful singer Paloma Faith.
